    Sophie Caroline & the Ra-Ra-Coons blev i dannet af Martin Lau og Sophie Caroline tilbage i 2009, da de startede på konservatoriet i Esbjerg sammen. De ville gerne spille musik fra 50'erne og 60'erne sammen, og konceptet var ikke kun de store kendte, men også de fantastiske sange, som man måske lidt har glemt, at man elsker. For gruppen går selvfølgelig op i, at publikum får en god aften, men de går også meget op i at spille musik, som de selv synes er sjovt at spille, og de spiller musikken med respekt for klassikerne. Med Racoons bliver der spillet musik af bl.a. The Beatles, The Kinks, Roy Orbison, Wanda Jackson og Johnny Cash. Siden 2009 har repertoiret udviklet sig til også at inkludere mere country, også noget af det helt gamle fra 40'erne.

    Sophie Caroline & the Ra-Ra-Coons were formed by Martin Lau and Sophie Caroline back in 2009, when they started at the conservatory in Esbjerg together. They wanted to play music from the 50s and 60s together, and the concept was not only the big names, but also the great songs that you might have forgotten you love. Because the group obviously cares about the audience having a good evening, but they also care a lot about playing music that they themselves think is fun to play, and they play the music with respect for the classics. With Racoons, music is played by e.g. The Beatles, The Kinks, Roy Orbison, Wanda Jackson and Johnny Cash. Since 2009, the repertoire has developed to also include more country, also some of the old stuff from the 40s.

    Sophie Caroline & the Ra-Ra-Coons wurden 2009 von Martin Lau und Sophie Caroline gegründet, als sie gemeinsam am Konservatorium in Esbjerg begannen. Sie wollten gemeinsam Musik aus den 50er und 60er Jahren spielen, und das Konzept bestand nicht nur aus großen Namen, sondern auch aus großartigen Songs, von denen man vielleicht vergessen hat, dass man sie liebt. Denn der Gruppe ist es offensichtlich wichtig, dass das Publikum einen schönen Abend hat, aber es liegt ihr auch sehr am Herzen, Musik zu spielen, von der sie denken, dass sie Spaß macht, und sie spielen die Musik mit Respekt vor den Klassikern. Bei Racoons wird Musik z.B. gespielt. Die Beatles, die Kinks, Roy Orbison, Wanda Jackson und Johnny Cash. Seit 2009 hat sich das Repertoire dahingehend erweitert, dass es auch mehr Country-Stücke umfasst, auch einige der alten Sachen aus den 40er Jahren.
